Accounts Receivables Accounting Lead- Analyst Cash Applications

Position Summary:

Responsible for analyzing cash-inflow activities for the Accounts Receivable Department. Will serve as a conduit to identify opportunities for improvement regarding the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of collecting and applying cash. Essential Job Functions:

  • Analyze the department workflows (including cash application and collections) in an effort to reduce outstanding receivables and identify causes for non-payment
  • Conduct timely research and analysis for disputed items, deductions, and over/short payments
  • Examine department Internal Controls for compliance with SOX requirements
  • Review and approve bad debt exclusions/adjustments
  • Analyze department balance sheets including periodic static balances and quarterly flux reviewsRecommend sustainable process improvements using an analytical approach
  • Balance assigned accounts
  • Assist department coordinator and management with special projects as needed
  • Monitor department customer service support telephone number and group electronic mailboxes
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Strong working knowledge of company accounting systems
