General Technician - Omaha, NE

Position Summary:

Provide service to the store operations by keeping store equipment in a proper operating condition that enables the customer to be served. Keep the equipment operational in a safe condition and providing safe use of the equipment by the employees and customers. Keep a high level of efficiency through skills training and effective call management skills. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

Essential Functions:

  • Complete general equipment service calls at many store locations.
  • Participate in a Service "On Call" rotation for 24 hour response.
  • Participate in the preventative maintenance program.
  • Manage parts and equipment.
  • Assist in servicing all types of store equipment.
  • Run service calls to multiple store locations using company owned service vehicle.
  • Equipment to be serviced includes, but not limited to: Bakery ovens, slicers, rotisseries, proofers, hot food tables, cardboard balers, meat saws, meat grinders/tenderizers, wrap stations, fryers, check stands, misters, manual and power jacks/stackers, and handicap carts.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to enter data.
  • Ability to travel independently.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekend hours and overnights.
  • Demonstrate ability to make intelligent decisions quickly
  • Communicate and interact effectively and amicably with the team including other associates, and supervisors and exercise consideration for others.
  • Able to tactfully and calmly handle stressful situations and make a positive impression on associates and customers.
  • Be a team player and contribute positively to build team moral.
  • Prior experience on food service equipment and knowledge of material handling equipment.
  • Basic trouble shooting skills.
  • Decision maker with problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of computer applications required.
  • Customer service role model.
  • Self-motivated, able to organize, prioritize, plan and meet deadlines.
  • Must be professional, dependable, possess positive attitude, good judgment, and be able to gain the support of others to get the job done.

Desired Previous Job Experience:

  • Prior experience in the maintenance field or appropriate school training.
