Assistant Analyst - JLY

Position Summary:

Assist management to achieve strategic distribution goals through process and data analysis, report creation, expense analysis, and process improvements. Frequent independent judgments are essential. Fred Meyer also requires that all associates perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.  Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
  • Provide assistance with special projects and analysis as assigned
  • Analyze data to provide recommendations for process improvements to eliminate or reduce waste
  • Develop and provide process tools and reports to help associates and management analyze and meet strategic goals
  • Analyze inventory on hand, in waiting, and in process
  • Assist in financial budget development
  • Create processes and methods to gather supply chain data
  • Evaluate vendor performance
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS in business accounting or finance; or combination of relevant education and experience
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass drug test
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays on an occasional basis
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Accuracy/attention to detail
  • Ability to organize/prioritize variety of tasks/projects
  • 7,000 SPH ten-key
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to continue education

Desired Previous Job Experience:

  • Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project & Visio
  • Proven Supply Chain Analysis
  • Lean and Six Sigma certified
  • Experience with SQL, R, Tableau, or other analytical tools
