Restaurant General Manager (GM) - Anderson, OH

Position Summary

Assume overall day-to-day responsibility for a full-service restaurant. Oversee the restaurants daily operations to ensure guests receive excellent service and delicious meals. Manage and develop team members. Manage profit and loss initiatives and drive sales growth. Demonstrate the companys core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions

  • Support and execute marketing plans provided by corporate teams
  • Travel to attend training and assist other restaurants
  • Implement disaster plans
  • Comply with alcoholic beverage commission laws/regulations
  • Comply with federal, state, local and company food safety guidelines, food handling guidelines and rules governing sanitation and the cleanliness/maintenance of kitchen/dining room areas
  • Maintain unwavering focus on the production of high quality food
  • Develop creative strategic sales and growth strategies to achieve restaurants operational objectives
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to associates to ensure excellent guest service, food quality and operational consistency
  • Empower and inspire team members while upholding company culture and restaurant brand ideals
  • Meet or exceed financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions
  • Accountable for sales growth while maximizing profit through overall management of profit and loss, labor, budget, inventory, food cost and ordering
  • Create an environment focused on hospitality to ensure guests have a pleasant dining experience that results in repeat visits and maximizes cover count
  • Oversee all human resources related aspects of the restaurant, including staffing, retention, reducing turnover, scheduling, coaching, training, discipline, associate relations, performance management and policy administration
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
  • Minimum Position Qualifications

  • 3+ years in a restaurant general manager role or equivalent
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations and preparation techniques
  • Strong point-of-sale knowledge
  • Demonstrated understanding of profit and loss, labor, budget, inventory, food cost and ordering
  • Proficient in mixology with knowledge of craft beer and wine
  • Excellent basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to multitask without compromising guest experience
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all management levels and associates
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to complete and pass food safety training within required timeframes
  • Ability to complete and pass alcohol certification within required timeframes
  • Ability to work in a standing position for an entire shift
  • Able to reach, bend, stoop, push and lift objects up to 50 pounds
