Position Summary:

Provide a warm, friendly greeting to guests to make them feel welcome. Provide table accommodations and offer menu recommendations. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Greet guests as they enter and exit the restaurant
  • Accurately manage the wait list
  • Escort guests to their seats, accounting for any special seating needs
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area throughout the shift
  • Perform opening and closing duties
  • Comply with federal, state, local and company food safety guidelines, food handling guidelines and rules governing sanitation and the cleanliness/maintenance of kitchen/dining room areas
  • Maintain a professional demeanor, ensuring uniform and personal appearance are presentable and reflective of the company brand
  • Communicate any safety or guest concerns to manager as appropriate
  • Professionally answer telephone and direct calls
  • Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, managers and guests
  • Coordinate with and assist fellow associates to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant
  • Attend scheduled associate meetings and offer suggestions for improvement
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with team and guests
  • Ability to work in a standing position for an entire shift
  • Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster cooperation and work in a collaborative team environment

Desired Previous Job Experience:

  • 6 months' server experience
