Bilingual Pharmacy Support Specialist - English + M-F + Competitive Pay + Admin Experience REQUIRED

Position Summary

Perform functions to provide administrative support to the Pharmacy department by performing clerical duties including but not limited to faxing, scanning, filing, and researching missing patient information. Essential Job Functions

  • Assist the director, Pharmacy with original prescription process that includes receiving original prescription from couriers, checking images, document dispensing, and filing
  • Keep records of the prescriptions that are pending and follow up with the doctors, patients, and sales associates
  • Assist in auditing courier invoices for proper documentation of delivery tickets, patient payments, prescriptions received and filing
  • Track daily patient's packages in CPR+; reconcile courier daily packages and related reporting
  • Assist the director, Pharmacy with the medical insurance audits; conduct internet research as needed
  • Provide administrative assistance to other departments as needed, including answering phone calls and making phone calls
  • Complete special projects as assigned
  • Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements
  • Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Minimum Position Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of experience in an administrative capacity
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current pharmacy applications (CPR+ preferred); specifically, MS Office software including strong Excel proficiency
  • Ability to multitask, work well with others, and be adaptable to change
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English both written and oral required; strong communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams and manage projects
  • Desired Previous Experience/Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
