Specialty Support Representative - Sales Support - Great Pay and Benefits

Position Summary

Perform duties to provide administrative and limited clerical support to the outside sales team, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice. Establish and maintain key medical doctor offices relationship by providing patient statuses, mainly those that receive and administer specialty medications to our patients. Essential Job Functions

  • Provide administrative support to the outside sales team
  • Create and distribute status updates for physician offices via phone and e-mail; use the prescribed format and information provided by management
  • Document in CPR+ via To Do's escalation requests from physician's offices acting as liaison with operations to resolve issue and provide patient status
  • Advise outside sales team member regarding increases and decreases of office referral volume trends relating to factors having impacting referrals base
  • Contact physician offices for pending prescriptions, lab work, and other clinical documentation necessary in obtaining the prior authorization approval required by payers when operations is unable to
  • Troubleshoot issues arising from patients orders with Specialty Account Managers and operations team members by analyzing MRN orders, progress notes, claims, etc.
  • Assist with any operational obstacles, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements
  • Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies
  • Assemble applicable marketing materials and populate mail packages for physician's offices
  • Prepare and distribute via email to the sale team the Referral and No-Go reports; communicate with operations and sales identified issues arising from these reports
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Minimum Position Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of customer service experience in a professional setting
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills in both a productive and professional manner
  • Exceptional listening skills; ability to listen to the customer's concerns, goals, beliefs and respond appropriately
  • Ability to emphasize a team approach to providing great customer service
  • Ability to assess services provided from the customer's point of view
  • Demonstrated customer focus in all activities; ability to anticipate and respond timely to customer needs
  • Ability to promote team unity through information sharing, planning and problem resolution focused on team success first
  • Demonstrated joint ownership of goal setting, commitments and accomplishments with field specialty account manager
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and enhance enduring customer relationships
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy software and proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Desired Previous Experience/Education

  • Any familiarity with the challenges faced by low-income and underserved populations
  • 1 year of healthcare experience
