The EDI Analyst role will support the operational efficiency and excellence of the Kroger's operational data with a focus on improving timeliness, quality, and cost of delivery. The EDI Analyst interfaces with multiple lines of business and suppliers to establish EDI files. The Analyst is responsible for sharing Kroger's EDI standards and reviewing EDI files for accuracy. The EDI Analyst will generate, aggregate, and analyze business data with the intent of supporting and developing solutions for new business unit ideas, trends, and concepts. EDI Analyst supports line of business by analyzing data during service setup to determine if the data meets requirements and establish data extraction for ongoing data loads. Primary Responsibilities: • Coordinate, implement, and manage EDI integrations for Kroger, including guidelines and specifications for data exchange and ensure alignment • Setup secure data transmission to meet HIPAA, PII, and PCI requirements • Lead implementation and integration of Kroger and Partner systems • Analyze client data for alignment to system requirements • Assist with writing new queries and linking data from multiple sources (systems and databases) • Researches and resolves internal and external escalations regarding EDI related issues • Perform service and QA activities regarding daily EDI file exchange • Work with partners when necessary to identify and resolve EDI issues • Review manual and automated processes periodically to identify improvement opportunities • Work with engineering and quality assurance teams • Utilize DevOps core principles in your daily work • Collaborate with team members to improve the company's engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security • Deliver quality customer service and resolve end-user issues in a timely manner Essential Skills • IBM B2B Sterling Integrator, IBM Control Center, and Mailbox are the core requirements for this role • Experience with RHEL operating systems • Understanding of EDI terminology and data standards (X.12, EDI, XML, JSON) • Knowledge of File Transfer protocols, AS2, Connect:Direct, and MQFTE products

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform many tasks independently and communicate with appropriate teams
  • Partner with appropriate teams to deliver software solutions according to SDLC best practices
  • Partner with appropriate teams to expedite issue resolution within defined SLAs
  • Document the root cause of issues and implement improvements to prevent future recurrence
  • Support and maintain applications utilizing required tools and technologies
  • Provide support for applications during business hours and off-hours (24x7) as required
  • Ensure change control, support ticketing, and bug tracking processes are executed following defined standards
  • Establish priorities for application modifications in collaboration with key business stakeholders
  • Develop functional, design, and programming specifications for application enhancements
  • Complete estimates and work plans as appropriate for design, development, implementation and rollout tasks
  • Test application bug fixes, enhancements, and new software releases
  • Design, configure, code and unit test applications and utilities using SDLC best practices
  • Ensure security, compliance, and integrity of systems and data
  • Assist other personnel on assignments including mentoring or providing on-the-job training to other associates

  • Minimum Position Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of experience in system analysis, design or programming and the associated development methodologies
  • Any prior experience with project planning with medium size or medium level complexity projects
  • Ability to interact well in a team environment
  • Passing score on a selected entry test for new hires (test selected based on project requirements)
  • Desired Previous Experience/Education

  • Associate Degree in IS related field, or comparable work experience in an Information Systems position or related business position, Bachelor's Degree in IS related field, or comparable work experience in an Information Systems position or related business position
  • 4+ years of experience in adjacent technologies
