The Organizational Change Leader will play a key role in helping complex technology and business projects/initiatives achieve targeted business outcomes. The primary focus will be working with process owners and agile teams to create and implement change management plans that minimize associate resistance and drive faster adoption of the changes that impact them. The ideal candidate will have several years of hands-on organizational change management experience and certification, as well as a background in any of the following disciplines: project management, business analysis, instructional design or communication. Looking for a candidate who is passionate and inspired by technology with the ability to quickly ramp up knowledge and communicate various technologies supporting acceleration through the change curve. Experience operating strategically and tactically following agile frameworks in a software development environment is a plus.


Position Summary:

This position will play a key role in helping change initiatives meet business objectives. This position will focus on the people side of change - including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organizational structures. This position will drive faster adoption, greater utilization and higher proficiency to achieve strong business results. Essential Job Functions:

  • Support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans.
  • Provide direct support and coaching to front-line managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions.
  • Implement the Kroger Organizational Change Management (OCM) Framework to manage the people side of change caused by change and transition efforts.
  • Identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns.
  • Conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans - including communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan.
  • Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization and proficiency of individual changes.
  • Identify resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement corrective actions
  • Develop training/supporting materials and deliver OCM training to the organization; both formal and informal learning events.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • 3 plus years of experience leading large scale change initiatives.
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization.
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare, interpret and make decisions based on qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to influence others without formal authority.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers and to all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to travel independently.

Desired Previous Job Experience

  • Certified by a professional Change Management organization as a Change Management Professional
  • Familiarity with project management and process improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Behavior, or HR management
