• Product Owner responsibilities include gathering feature requests, developing and maintaining well planned backlog. Coordinating the work to be allocated to sprints and scheduling releases. • Lead the appropriate teams to refine, prioritize and manage the backlog to best achieve the goals and vision • Identify and estimate anticipated work efforts based on priority using program increment (PI) and sprint planning • Define and resolve dependencies, issues and risks along with identification of impacted areas through team collaboration • Oversee development stages, identify areas for improvement, refine the process and support the sprint • Act as the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams

 

Position Summary:

Define support requirements for and manage waterfall/agile frameworks. Coach and mentor others on small to medium size efforts. Operate in a business analyst or product owner role by eliciting the needs/priorities of the business and speaking on behalf of customers while working with teams to provide support solutions. Essential Job Functions:

  • Elicit, analyze and define waterfall/agile framework requirements in various formats (e.g., diagrams, use case, user story, written, etc.) ensuring they are testable, measurable and traceable
  • Refine and manage waterfall/agile framework requirements using various tools (e.g., templates, team backlogs, requirements management or agile task management applications)
  • Complete support requirement walk-throughs with key stakeholders using various methods (e.g., team demos, workshops, sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions)
  • Assist Service Planners with estimating anticipated support impacts for technical and customer facing initiatives
  • Define and resolve dependencies, issues and risks and identify impacted areas through team collaboration
  • Identify and define support needs for current and future state analysis
  • Continuously learn various areas of the business, industry best practices and/or new/different technologies
  • Work in a team environment and be flexible to perform multiple functions supporting activities in either Waterfall or Agile frameworks
  • Act as the liaison between the support centers, technology teams and business units to deliver quality solutions
  • Review support impacts and support team’s performance post rollout and facilitate any necessary action or realignment

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education: 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year working in a call center or customer focused environment
  • Proven written and oral communication, collaboration and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers at all levels within the organization
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to effectively partner with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to interact and work well within a team environment
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills

Desired Previous Job Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology (IT) or a business-related field
  • Related equivalent work experience in an IT position or comparable business unit experience
  • Agile, SAFe, Six Sigma, IIBA certification (ECBA, CCBA, CBAP, CBATL)
