Position Summary
Responsible for leading a team that manages all the functional areas of Portfolio Operations that include but not limited to capital allocation, capital budget governance, operating budget governance, capacity management, vendor performance governance and contracts management. Lead strategic direction and function as a liaison across the Technology organization and business partners. Essential Job Functions
Lead the delivery organization from an operations perspective and manages the portfolio functions centrally to gain speed and efficiencyManage the tools and processes to be leveraged for this function, such as how budgets, finances, contracts, capacity and other aspects of operations work together across the organizationOptimize the processes within guardrails to plan and manage the operational support for multiple portfolios(s) by driving continuous organizational improvementsEnsure that processes and organizational alignment of portfolio management are achieved and enforced; serve as advisor/mentor to the entire PPMO regarding processes, tools and continuous improvementUnderstand the OKR construct and how we operate to deliver outcomes against the OKRsProvide team members/direct reports with clear direction and targets that are aligned with business needs and personal objectives as well as supervise, coach and remove barriers for the Portfolio Ops teamCross train team members in multiple functional areasProvide effective leadership and management of expectation of the stakeholdersFacilitate open communication and inclusive discussions between stakeholders as we transition to a product led organization ways of workingTake accountability of operating within the budget constraints and within acceptable varianceHelps drive data driven decisions to optimize operationsEnsure team(s) adherence to all Technology standards and procedures, including regulatory complianceSupervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reportsMust be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodationMinimum Position Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a technology or finance related field8+ years of experience working on complex portfolio management initiatives8+ years of experience as an administrative manager within a technology environmentAny expertise and experience in business case development, product scoping and project planning with technology engineering teamsDemonstrated capability to build, mentor and maintain an inclusive team-based environmentProven delivery of innovative results in previous roles and have strong Knowledge of industry trends and industry competitionStrong performance management experience of large work groupsProven ability to think and contribute at the strategic levelDemonstrated knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture solutionsDemonstrated written, oral and presentation/public speaking communication skillsDemonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse groups of peopleProven commitment to continuous Improvement within the workplaceStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsDesired Previous Experience/Education
6+ years of experience serving in portfolio position, managing financial aspects for programs, projects and portfolio
