Position Summary
Coordinate and implement the strategic direction of associate relations for the enterprise which is driven by the desire to have a direct relationship with our associates. Lead corporate initiatives that cultivate a work environment where associates feel valued, can be successful, and are highly engaged. Proactively engage with our non-union locations to ensure all associate relations needs and expectations are met. Lead corporate support efforts when there are challenges to optimal associate relations in a location. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Essential Job Functions
Lead all activities to develop/maintain positive associate relations in new and existing associate choice facilities and unitsServe as the subject matter expert in associate relations, providing enterprise guidance, training and counsel to most levels of managementDirect positive associate relations efforts across the assigned areas of responsibilityCollaborate with divisions, legal and internal HR partners, ensuring the continued engagement of associates, our Purpose and Promise, and associate choice best practicesConduct and monitor associate relations assessments to ensure continuous improvements as a key part of our culturePartner with legal to ensure all current or future associate relations policies and procedures are compliant with all federal, state and local laws and governing employer/associate relationshipsLiaison with Associate and Labor Relation Leadership on contractual issues that impact the delivery and administration of positive associate relationsDevelop, document and coordinate HR related activities, as needed, related to crisis management and business continuityCoach, train and educate division leaders on matters regarding associate relationsEstablish and maintain knowledge of associate choice best practices and industry trendsWork diligently to apply and execute union avoidance practices and organize campaign strategies where appropriateTravel up to 60% to support associate relations strategies, including site evaluations and third-party site visits and/or inquiriesMust be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodationMinimum Position Qualifications
5+ years Human Resources management/generalist experience with a strong focus on associate relationsExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent planning, organizational, and analytical/problem solving skillsStrong team player with an ability to build professional relationships and motivate othersDemonstrated experience to influence all levels of the organization in order to achieve required resultsStrong initiative to achieve high standards/resultsStrong conflict resolution skillsProven accuracy and attention to detailAbility to handle sensitive information while maintaining a high degree of confidentialityDemonstrated ability to adapt efficiently to changing priorities and workloadDesired Previous Experience/Education
Bachelor's Degree in business, or a related fieldPHR, SPHR,SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
