Clinical Program Development Manager

Position Summary

Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical services and programs for Kroger Health &Wellness that exceed customer/client expectations. Identify training needs and provide solutions to drive a high level of expertise among Health & Wellness staff. Maintain strong familiarity with industry competition, particularly any new competitive products and services. Essential Job Functions

  • Create customized, holistic, quality clinical interventions and programs focused on improving patient outcomes and population health
  • Collaborate with division clinical teams and the Health & Wellness Training and Communications team to standardize processes and protocols
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on existing and emerging medications, guidelines for the treatment of chronic conditions, healthcare reform, and competitive activity in the related clinical industry
  • Coordinate/develop training programs to support clinical initiatives
  • Support pilot programs that are aligned with Kroger's Health & Wellness strategy
  • Test the effect of different clinical interventions through partnerships with universities, professional organizations, health coalitions, etc.
  • Identify new areas for learning, regularly create and take advantage of learning opportunities, and apply the knowledge learned to further develop/improve clinical programs
  • Partner with the regulatory compliance manager to ensure pharmacies are in compliance with regulatory requirements for the provision of clinical services
  • Serve as a liaison to division leadership to garner support and drive results for clinical initiatives
  • Supervise and precept post-graduate pharmacy residents
  • Travel regularly to meet with divisions and local healthcare systems to evaluate programs and provide solutions

  • Minimum Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Possess active Pharmacist or Nurse Practitioner license
  • Ability to escalate issues appropriately and drive them to resolution
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to effectively meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience presenting ideas effectively to individuals or groups
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to persuade, influence and direct others to achieve project objectives
  • Completed an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited residency or 1 year experience providing clinical services
  • Desired Previous Experience/Education

  • 1 year of division clinical care coordinator experience
  • 1 year of retail pharmacy manager experience
  • Education Level: Bachelor's Required
    Required Certifications/Licenses: Pharmacy Board License
