CoE Contract Management Analyst

Position Summary:

Manage all contract activities post signature including, storing contracts, documenting terms, monitoring obligations, verifying compliance to all contractual documents, managing renewals and issue identification/resolution. Essential Job Functions:

  • Contract Management
  • Communicate with suppliers to request required documents and review submitted documents for completion and compliance with procurement rules and regulations
  • Store and manage executed contracts
  • Enter contract information in the contract tool
  • Monitor contract obligation on a pre-defined basis
  • Support communication of any issues related to contract compliance
  • Manage notifications when contracts are coming due to renewal
  • Analyze contract information to improve terms and conditions as well as procurement policy
  • Communicate any insights to increase the performance and effectiveness of the function to the Manager
  • Point of contact for day to day operations and communications on contracts compliance and monitoring adherence
  • Compliance Management
  • Develop contract monitoring and management plan
  • Monitor compliance and identify non-compliances situations
  • Escalate lack of adherence and timely communicate to management
  • Assist in the resolution of contract discrepancies with suppliers and affected functions
  • Strive to reduce overall business continuity, financial and regulatory risk for Kroger using contracting concepts and knowledge
  • Provide support to CoE SRM team to make sure all documents needed are stored in supplier database
  • Additional Support
  • Support other initiatives in the company that may affect CoE’s performance and operations
  • Support talent development framework and proven experience in creating/maintaining training curriculum

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, CPG, or similar
  • Experience with contract management activities and tools
  • Ability to identify, quantify and effectively communicate business risks
  • Ability to become a key point of contact for the team, speak to internal clients on a regular basis, develop and maintain long term relationship with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to proactively share insights and seek to understand how to continue to bring value to internal stakeholders
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while delivering solid action-oriented results quickly
  • Analytical skills with the ability to identify, quantify and effectively leverage data to support business decisions, communicate opportunities and/or raise business risks
  • Ability to monitor compliance with established guidelines, policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Vizio)
  • Ability to synthesize analysis into compelling oral and written communications and presentations

Desired Previous Job Experience/Education:

  • 1-year professional experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Retail
  • 1-year professional experience with Legal or Paralegal
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, data visualization tools
