Digital Product Manager - eCommerce

Position Summary:

Lead the evolution of Kroger's eCommerce product browse and search experience to address the unique challenges of online grocery shopping. Provide customers a personalized and convenient way to navigate product assortment while providing relevent content such as recipes, personalized recommendations, and promotions. Deliver a digital product vision that connects customer feedback, performance metrics, enterprise strategy and competitive benchmarking. Essential Job Functions:

  • Identify eCommerce product search and browse experiences in web and mobile, aligned to company strategy, personalization framework, and go-to market plans.
  • Create, maintain, and communicate product catalog roadmaps including near-term delivery and 1-2 year product evolution to engage stakeholders across the organization in alignment and supporting company and business unit strategies.
  • In partnership with Merchandising, define online catalog assortment strategy, navigation, attributes, and customer facing features as well as criteria for evaluating vendors/partners to make ongoing buy-build or partner decisions.
  • Create highly collaborative working environments partnering with Merchandising, Marketing Services, Loyalty, Creative Services, Media Services, dunnhumbyUSA, Customer Insights and Research, and Kroger Technology.
  • Identify, measure, and improve key product catalog metrics to enhance the customer experience and create a compelling, relevant product vision using web metrics, customer loyalty and insights customer feedback/research and internal operational metrics working with Customer Insights and Consumer Research.
  • Identify opportunities to create best-in-class capabilities leveraging customer feedback, team knowledge and expertise, and connecting to company strengths and resources. Develop the plan and deliver breakthrough experiences to market working with technical and non-technical partners. Measure, improve and continuously deliver to production.
  • Model Agile principles by maintaining groomed backlog, providing 1-N prioritization for backlog and set criteria for Minimum Viable Product to increase speed and frequency with which enhancements and new capabilities are delivered.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience bringing customer-facing eCommerce or Omnichannel products to market.
  • 3+ years of software development, product management, or business analyst experience in an eCommerce business with demonstrated success in sales and/or customer use through delivery of new and evolving products.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to identify metrics and key performance measures and use data to drive decisions which enhance the customer experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficient experience in MS Office suite of products
  • Ability to travel independently

Desired Previous Job Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing or Management.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in product management and online business management.
  • Digital product management experience with a multi-channel retailer.
  • Experience with iterative product development (Agile).
