Position Summary
Responsible for providing human resource consultation and support to designated client groups to define and implement HR strategies that enable accomplishment of business objectives. Contributes to the development of workforce plans with an understanding of external trends that could impact the business. Provides guidance to convert strategies into result driven actions, including organizational design and change management. Manages a team who supports the execution of day-to-day tasks across the talent management cycle, associate relations and total rewards. Essential Job Functions
Partner with executive leadership, serving as the primary HR partner to provide talent strategies to support business short and long-term objectivesCollaborate with Center of Excellence (COE) partners to influence strategies, policies and proceduresUse people analytics to inform people strategies, engagement drivers and work with leaders to manage action plansManage overall talent acquisition efforts by partnering with the recruiting COE to help with talent needs, prioritization, and progress against hiring plansSupport assigned client groups with updating annual resourcing plan to achieve core business targets and manage headcount budgetPromote strategy of HR employee lifecycle across client groups, including coaching, associate engagement, organization design, workforce planning and succession management, talent development, compensation planning, communications and change managementOversee strategy of Kroger Performance & Career Development processes including performance assessments, development plans, and succession planningPartner with other HRBPs, identify synergies and process improvements to deliver a consistent experienceManage progress of the HR team against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality of serviceSupervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reportsTravel up to 15% of time to support business unitsMust be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodationMinimum Position Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in business administration, human resources or related field7+ years as a HR Business Partner, HR Generalist or other related HR role3+ years in a HR leadership roleExcellent oral/written communication skillsApplied knowledge of federal, state and local laws and statutes for employmentDemonstrated ability to effectively partner with all levels of the organization, positively influence teams and manage conflictStrong analytical and data interpretation skills with an ability to apply quantitative analysis to HR outcomes and use data to influence and drive decisionsStrong business and financial acumenDemonstrated ability to protect highly confidential and sensitive informationDesired Previous Experience/Education
Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Society of Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)Any experience with labor contracts Master's Degree in human resource management or related field, or Master of Business Administration
