Marketing Automation Manager

Position Summary:

Implement integrated customer lifecycles and journeys using marketing automation platforms and tools. Ensure all technology requirements, business rules, workflows and integration points are documented, planned and executed. Essential Job Functions:

  • Build and execute marketing automation tied to customer lifecycles and journeys across all 1:1 marketing channels using marketing automation platforms and tools
  • Oversee configuration of the necessary components within a marketing automation platform
  • Develop the functional design and configuration of cross-channel campaigns, with delivery in real-time
  • Work across marketing organization to steer the introduction of interdisciplinary initiatives, technologies and campaigns to ensure the speedier, more effective organization of the respective company’s marketing activities
  • Support new business activities with a focus on campaign automation solutions
  • Work with cross-functional channel experts and Strategic Planning to build a strategy, goals, implementation roadmaps and/or identity tactics to address specific needs; establish a range of automated marketing campaigns based on various criteria
  • Ensure all platforms within the business communicate with each other to remove discrepancies
  • Promote operational innovation and excellence that support long-term business goals

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ relevant technical experience using marketing automation
  • High level strategic & critical thinking skills, with demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities to maximize company ROI
  • Understanding of project management methodologies, business analysis, change management, user adoption, release management, and governance
  • Working knowledge of the marketing automation platforms and tools
  • Experience with scoring models, workflows, templates, list import and A/B testing
  • Strong analytical skills and a drive to experiment; demonstrated ability to use data to drive decision making
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Extensive experience in the digital marketing field and in all the areas that this involves, i.e. in implementing digital marketing programs with a focus on acquisition, in digital media, in cross-channel campaign steering, in data management and digital analytics, in the fields of application for digital marketing architecture, channels, methods and business models with a focus on Marketing Cloud solutions
  • The ability to plan and implement campaigns and programs across the entire digital media spectrum (search, e-mail, content marketing, marketing automation, social media, mobile and personalization)

Desired Previous Job Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related area
  • Experience implementing and optimizing customer lifecycles and journeys using marketing automation solutions programs for a large, multi-channel retailer
  • Experience implementing marketing automation platforms
  • Expertise across owned, earned and paid channels
  • Success working in fast-paced environment with ability to identify resources needed and reprioritize project tasks while meeting deadlines and goals
