Position Summary:

Train all new hire Pharmacy Associates and administer training. Lead with a high degree of confidentiality, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task. Role model and demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide day-to-day training support for new Pharmacy associates and encourage, monitor and assist new techs through the technician training program within 6 months from hire date
  • Provide customer service that makes both internal and external customers feel welcome, important and appreciated
  • Ability to set the example and take the initiative as a Lead Technician following the programs and policies that are implemented in the pharmacy
  • Manage inventory by following proper Medturn, Peyton and Cardinal procedures
  • Manage labor by utilizing My eschedule to create work schedules to maintain proper coverage according to ELMS forecast
  • Assist Pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a judgment call by a Pharmacist
  • Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud
  • Ability to meet the business schedule needs to cover shifts and shadow techs
  • Must be professional, dependable, possess positive attitude, good judgment, and be able to gain the support of others to get the job done
  • Self-motivated, able to organize, prioritize, plan and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position/Education Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 or more years of Pharmacy experience
  • Able to attain National Pharmacy Certification within six months as well as any other Kroger pharmacy certifications
  • Proven communication skills with leaders and peers
  • Excellent phone and communication skills, good typing, and filing skills

Desired Previous Job Experience:

  • Previous comparable experience
  • Retail pharmacy experience
  • One or more years of experience in a management or supervisory role
  • Knowledge of Pharmacy systems
