Sr. Manager, Site Merchandising

Position Summary:

Achieve growth objectives for Digital Merchandising and drive overall business and digital sales at the enterprise and department levels. Communicate with cross-functional stakeholders (Merchandising, Marketing, 84.51, Site Experience, Technology, etc) to ensure digital strategies align with business priorities. Manage the Site Merchandising team and overall implementation of the digital experience from a merchandising perscpective. Establish processes and create efficiencies throughout the organization to grow the business through the digital channels. Serve as a strategic business leader to enhance the company’s position in the eCommerce retail space. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Drive overall Omni channel sales for the enterprise and specific department(s) by partnering with business teams to develop long-term department/category roadmaps to deliver a more robust and engaging digital experience for our customer
  • Enable a highly engaging digital merchandising experience through a strategy based on customer insights, site metrics and data
  • Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of Marketing, Analytics, Product Management, Design, eCommerce Experience, Promotions, and Category Management to drive an Omni-channel experience that simplifies the customer’s life
  • Enable a best in class digital shelf through product data, descriptions, sorting/filtering, search, images, and other product attributes
  • Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure early insight to trends, new products, and sales opportunities
  • Partner with technology to identify and develop the proper tools, enhancements and system integration points that will allow digital, merchandising, and business teams to execute ecommerce successfully
  • Lead and assist in the integration of Kroger Precision Marketing by establishing process, ways to optimize, and measurement opportunities for a successful business model
  • Work with applicable teams to define success metrics, recap and share reporting results with all stakeholders and determine ways to optimize
  • Lead in identifying digital reporting improvements to enable our business teams to operate ecommerce successfully
  • Educate and communicate the digital strategy to business partners, along with supporting the development of training opportunities for new tools or enhancements
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education: 

  • 6+ years in digital, merchandising, operations, marketing, technology or loyalty with demonstrated understanding of the digital channels, product merchandising and customer behavior
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams
  • Ability to achieve objectives through others
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Desired Previous Job Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related area
