Position Summary:

Oversee requirements, development and management of both company and vendor projects in accordance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices. Interact with organizational leadership to plan and execute initiatives, taking various-sized projects from vision to reality, and act as a liaison between the business unit, technology teams and support teams. Provide leadership that embodies our 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System Principles. Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with internal business units to assist with the prioritization of projects, understand challenges, and suggest solutions.
  • Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, daily standups and other team functions as part of the software development process.
  • Develop Request for Proposals (RFPs) for external software vendors to assess potential relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Define and manage project scope, activities, schedules and resource requirements.
  • Define, analyze and document business functions and processes.
  • Focus on understanding and defining business problems utilizing tools such as root cause analysis.
  • Elicit and document stakeholder requirements through specifications, diagrams, epics, user stories and personas.
  • Create implementation designs that support user requirements in collaboration with the product owner, users and development team.
  • Participate in project user acceptance testing, including reporting and documenting defects.
  • Support and assist users with writing user acceptance test cases.
  • Coordinate documentation and training for support team and end-users for new or modified applications.
  • Perform testing, training, documentation and release activities.
  • Assist in troubleshooting post-implementation issues.
  • Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems.
  • Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1st strategy.
  • Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.

Minimum Position Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an information technology related field
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • 4+ years of experience in business analysis or business process improvement
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • The ability to interact well in a team environment
  • Effective problem-solving and change management skills

Desired Previous Job Experience:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Lean, Six Sigma, IIBA, ITIL or PMI certification
  • Understanding of Agile software development methodologies
  • 3+ years’ experience leading projects with limited departments and one outside vendor (Pay level 7)
  • 5+ years’ experience leading large projects with multiple departments and outside vendors (Pay level 8)
