THD Experience Area Coordinator - Part Time

Position Summary:

Responsible for the satisfaction of guests visiting the Turkey Hill Experience (THE). Greet guests, show guests exhibits and answer general questions; work to ensure visitors needs are met and they have an enjoyable “experience”. Support the Team Leaders and act as the point person on the floor for operational issues. Conduct guided tours, assist in operations and maintain appropriate inventory levels of both retail merchandise and supplies needed to operate the Turkey Hill Experience. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the THE/plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1st strategy. Provide leadership that embodies our 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure world class service is provided to each guest that visits the Turkey Hill Experience
  • Assists Team Leaders with opening and/or closing facility
  • Conduct regular inventory of assigned area: retail/guest services, taste lab and experience
  • Maintain a high level of organization of inventoried items
  • Ensure all systems are maintained to ensure exceptional guest service
  • Act as primary new hire trainer within the assigned area: retail/guest services, taste lab and experience
  • Ensure no one enters without a ticket
  • Maintain the appearance of the Experience Center by restocking shelves, cleaning, sweeping, dusting, mopping and collecting trash
  • Restock exhibits with supplies needed for day to day operations
  • Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins and tables with merchandise and arrange merchandise displays to attract customers
  • Pleasantly greet guests with excitement and enthusiasm as they enter The Experience
  • Must be familiar with all aspects of The Experience including company history and facility layout
  • Assist guests with special needs
  • Demonstrate knowledge of continuous improvement and lean methodology
  • Work effectively with department and cross-functional teams to define and implement process improvements the provide value to the customer
  • Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF Systems
  • Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must be customer service oriented
  • Effective oral/written communication skills
  • Ability to speak to guests clearly and professional in front of large groups of guests
  • Ability to work well under pressure and treat guests with respect
  • Ability to work in crowded venues and handle situations simultaneously
