Essential Job Functions:

· Promote trust and respect among associates, display a positive attitude.

  • Enter patient's information into computer accurately and efficiently.
  • Counting and preparation of specified product using company best practices.
  • Follow the appropriate workflow procedures.
  • Perform postfill audits (PFAs).
  • Administer immunizations.
  • Maintain a current CPR certification.
  • Gain insight into areas of pharmacy including: Patient care / counseling patients, checking prescriptions under direct pharmacist supervision, providing immunizations, participating in clinical programs, dispensing / filling prescriptions, monitoring workflow, billing insurance, and ordering and inventory management.
  • Assist the pharmacy in providing and maintaining MTM (Medication Therapy Management) services.
  • Tender customer transactions in a quick and efficient manner.
  • Understand and follow the guidelines in scanning every item.
  • Understand and follow the company guidelines on B.O.B. (bottom of bascart).
  • Understand and follow the company guidelines on tendering electronic fund transactions such as Credit/Debit Cards, EBT and Gift Cards, as well as cash and check transactions.
  • Understand and adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons.
  • Understand and adhere to company's limits on cash shortages and work honestly and effectively to control loss.
  • Understand and adhere to shrink guidelines.
  • Understand the operation of the cash register and follow all cashier handling policies to prevent loss.
  • Understand and adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items like Alcohol, Tobacco, Fireworks, and Videos.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station.
  • Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold throughout the store.
  • Follow pharmacy policies and procedures, such as Key Retailing and controlled substances procedures.
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, practicing preventive maintenance, properly inspecting equipment, notifying store management of any items in need of repair and of customer or employee accidents.
  • Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position/Education Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school program
  • Licensed by the state (if applicable) as a pharmacy intern
  • Certified (or willing to be) in immunizations
  • Effective communication skills

  • Retail experience
