Labor Manager

Position Summary:

Execute the company standards and initiatives to effectively utilize labor and labor tools in stores. Develop division goals, strategy/action plans for implementation of company/division labor initiatives. Responsible for Budgeting, training and the implementation of ELMS and Best Practices for division labor. Work collaboratively with division management to manage labor costs within the division budgetary and glidepath goals. Coach and train district coordinators in all aspects of labor and labor tools. Identify division labor initiatives in collaborations with the Corporate and Division Operations Management to identify trends for such initiatives. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide input on contractual issues, including language, wage and benefits that will improve the division's competitive wage position.
  • Implement Enterprise ELMS "Best Practices" to improve work processes.
  • Work collaboratively with Training and Development to produce educational material and methods for delivering ELMS training.
  • Partner with Labor Forecast team in the development of division store labor budgets.
  • Provide analysis of Labor results, identify specific opportunities, and recommend solutions.
  • Responsible for coordinating store scheduling (SKED)
  • Must be able to work closely with senior Leadership in Corporate and Division settings.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Store Operations and/or Front-End Operations (one year experience).
  • Strong knowledge of labor management principles.
  • Experience in labor management training.
  • Store Retail Management Experience, or comparable experience
  • Creative, alert to new ways of approaching tasks and processes.
  • Demonstrate initiative and leadership skills.
  • Ability to be collaborative and work with and through various committees.
  • Proficiency and ability to learn Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Business Objects, EssBase, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Highly organized and proficient at multi-tasking.
  • Ability to engage in new areas and facilitate change across the Enterprise.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel independently.
