Clinic Manager (Nurse Practitioner) - Bowling Green

Position Summary

Oversee the day to day operations of a retail clinic. Provide clinical support in the clinic under the guidance of the Clinical Practice Coordinator (CPC). Mentor and support other team members to maximize clinic performance and productivity while building a strong rapport with the healthcare consumer, host, and community. Represent The Little Clinic and Kroger Health, at community or business events and meetings. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions

  • Execute all essential job functions of nurse practitioner/physician's assistant
  • Ensure continual delivery of high-quality medical care
  • Act as mentor for and support ongoing training and development of other providers and clinic associates
  • Participate in interviewing, orientation, and training of new team members
  • Provide clinical support under CPC guidance
  • Attend quarterly staff meetings, share information with staff members, ensure execution of policy, practices and company initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with recordkeeping and occurrence reporting in accordance with all current company, local, state and federal regulations
  • Coordinate clinical and administrative activities in clinic in accordance with state regulations and joint commission standards
  • Support and oversee inventory processes
  • Participate in regional or corporate committees and projects as needed
  • Participate in setting goals for the clinic and ensure financial performance of the clinic meets/exceeds budgeted expectations
  • Ensure timely completion of clinic associate education assignments including CLIA lab proficiencies
  • Ensure assigned clinic staff meets all operational policies and procedures, local, state and federal requirements
  • Partner with CPC to ensure all provider licensures, protocols, and other required documents are current
  • Work with various corporate functions to support ongoing initiatives and adopt and implement innovative business-building practices
  • Foster professional relationship with store community, collaborating physicians, other healthcare providers, educational institutions and professional networking groups throughout the community
  • Ensure clinic staff enters schedules into MyE-Schedule in a timely fashion and hold staff accountable for scheduled shifts; review schedules and ensure appropriate coverage exists for the needs of the business
  • Complete peer chart reviews as assigned
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports

  • Minimum Position Qualifications

  • Other: Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practioner or Bachelor's Degree as a Physician Assistant
  • Active licensure in state applying, Board certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC); or physician assistant (PA-C), where eligible, Valid Drivers License , Active license, American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification and all necessary state credentials
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships
  • Self-motivated with the ability to plan and meet deadlines
  • Strong time management skills
  • Desired Previous Experience/Education

  • 1 year of experience working in retail health as a provider
  • 2+ years of experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
